College Council

The College Council represents the entire college community and includes representatives from faculty, administrative staff, support staff, and students.

Functions and Responsibilities

• Establish annual goals aligned with the college’s strategic priorities.
• Provide timely feedback on issues of college-wide significance.
• Responsible for the integrated planning process.
• Appoint, delegate, and promote faculty members and lecturers.
• Facilitate communication among all college community members.
• Develop and adopt operating procedures for effective decision-making.
• Review annual goals of academic, student, and administrative services.
• Modify curriculums in coordination with departments.
• Suggest academic programs, textbooks, and references.
• Organize open forums for important discussions.
• Promote and coordinate scientific research and publications.
• Suggest extracurricular activity plans.
• Settle matters related to student majors.
• Assist in disseminating and interpreting policies.
