A Webinar on “Importance of medicinal plants” was organized by the Department of Botany, (a branch of Department of Gunapadam – Marunthiyal) at 10.30 a.m. on 13-7-2022. Dr. S. Saraswathy, Lecturer, Dept. of Gunapadam-Marunthiyal delivered welcome address. Prof. Dr. R.S.Ramaswamy, Director (Siddha) delivered presidential addresss. Dr. M. Selvadeepa, Reader delivered felicitation address. Dr. Aruna Ramachandran, Assistant Professor of Botany made a presentation on “Importance of Medicinal Plants” focussing on commonly available medicinal plants which are used as simple home remedies. Mrs. V. Greeshma, Reader, Dept. of Medicinal Botany, proposed a vote of thanks. First year,Second and Final Year BSMS students compered the entire programme.
