Siddha Medical College, in B.S.M.S.(Bachelor of Siddha Medicine and Surgery) affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R. Medical University,Chennai and also by the recognition of�the Central Council of Indian Medicine(C.C.I.M.),New Delhi.It is the prestigious and one of the best ranking meritorious Siddha System of Medical Institutions in the Global.The main objective of R.V.S. About Siddha Medicine: Tamils are the proud inheritors of their knowledge and wisdom. Siddha literatures say that Siddha system originated from Shiva who revealed it to Uma, his consort. Siddha system originated from the Shiva cult which was prevalent even during Indus civilization period. 1.Siddha system is said to have originated from Lord Siva 2.Agasthier is the guru and pioneer to propagate his system of medicin 3.The system declares that the human body is made up of five basic elements (i.e) Panchabootha theory 4.The microcosam(man) and the macrocosam (world) both are made up of 5 elements 5.When there is any adverse change in the world it results in the development of disease. 6.Diagnosis is on the basis of three doshas - Vatha, Pitha & Kapa. i.e (air, bile & phlegm).
